The Dave Price Jukebox
Dave's three hour Jukebox can be heard on Sundays at noon and Friday nights at eight. He says:
"When the opportunity came up to get involved with Care Radio, I jumped at the chance. I have always enjoyed the close relationship you can have with listeners through the medium of radio , and who better to entertain than a group of people I consider to be real heroes, the care community.
"I hope , through my knowledge of music, my sense of humour , and a real interest of how music affects your mood, reaches emotions and prompts memories, I am very much looking forward to being on air with and spending some time with you.
"I am no stranger to the concept of caring for a loved one. My Mother before she passed, suffered from Lupus and needed a lot of help and care in order to manage her condition, and more recently , my wife Karen became very unwell and developed the condition “ Sepsis”. She was in ICU for weeks and in hospital for months. It was a very worrying time. When she eventually got home, I understood what it was like to be a full-time carer. It’s not easy and I am filled with admiration for the thousands of people who do this job up and down the country every day.
"Hopefully by doing these radio shows on Care Radio , I can bring a little bit of fun and happiness into the lives of others, I will consider that a job well done. I look forward to you not only listening ,but interacting with me."
